You can clearly see where the chain stay part of the frame, near the right rear dropout, cracked in two.

I used the bike quite a few times to go trail riding in high desert area’s around the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, and for commuting around the Valley. Bell Catalyst 200 Mini U-lock
I found a Bell Catalyst 200 Mini Bicycle U-lock in Walmart marked down from $11 to $2. It was marked down because someone opened the package and lost the keys. I purchased the lock and took it home, and was able to pick the lock open and determine the key code. With the key code I was able to make a key and have a working bicycle lock. Continue reading
Bontrager Ion 700 R Side View
So here’s my bicycle light story. Most of my commute is on back roads in a rural area during day light hours. The total trip is between 12 and 15 miles depending on my destination and stops. For about 2 miles I am forced to ride on a 2-lane hightway with all traffic going in the same direction. My biggest safety concern is being hit from behind on this highway, so I ride with a tail light and no headlight.
First let me start off by saying I am very happy with this bicycle. I managed to ride approximately 2000 miles, and it has been a very reliable and comfortable bike for commuting. During that time I only encountered a few problems.
